One of my absolute favorites things to design is wedding invitations. I love the getting to know couples and figuring out a way to tell their story through the stationary we create for their wedding. I met Amy in college (Go Heels!), and she was gracious enough to trust me with the creation of her invites. There are many reasons why I love the finished product, but two specific reasons are below:
First of all, the photograph Amy and Nathan decided to use for their invite is absolutely stunning. This photo is from their engagement session that was done by Six Foot Photography in Raleigh. Six Foot Photography's owner Amber also shot the Laukka's wedding, so a huge thank you to her for the beautiful photos below!
Lastly, I absolutely love the personal touches in this wedding invite. The boat you see in the photograph is actually Nathan's boat, which I think is so cool. Also, at the very last minute, Amy and Nathan decided to add a line of text to the invite saying, "We would appreciate your prayers during this special time." I was so encouraged that they chose to add this line in; this simple detail shows me how much they truly value the power of prayer and what they ultimately valued in the wedding planning process. Amy and Nathan, it inspired me to see how you invited your guests into your planning process in such a personal and special way. Thank you so much for encouraging me and letting me be a part of your wedding day!
