I think family shoots with newborns are becoming my new favorite thing to photograph. I simply cannot get over the big baby blues, the tiny little feet, and the most adorable accessories perfectly tailored to tiny humans. I got to spend this past Saturday with the Ross family, whom I know from Mercy Hill Church. Tony, Tina and I were all on the launch team together, and we moved to Greensboro over three years ago to help plant Mercy Hill. It's amazing to see how faithful God has been over the course of our friendship. He's grown our church from a team of thirty people to over fourteen hundred people, and He is changing lives all throughout the Triad and all over the world. We have been blessed to witness people move from death to life as they hear and accept the Gospel, and we have also been blessed to witness new life as families grow and have children. Two of these blessings are the beautiful Abigail and Lauren, whom you can see below. It was such an honor to be able to spend a sunny Saturday morning catching up with and taking photos for this family. I am always so encouraged by watching families at Mercy Hill simply do life together and invest in those around them. With all that's occurred over the past few years at our church and in my life, I am learning to try to soak in every season. In the Bible it says, "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven" (Ecclesiastes 3:1). I am starting to see that these seasons don't last long, and I should really do my best to appreciate every moment. I hope the moments below are some the Ross family can appreciate and cherish for the years to come, and I'm looking forward to seeing all God will continue to do through our families and His church.
