The Martensen family was an absolute joy to work with. This shoot was very special to me, because the Martensens were the first family I've photographed that I really did not know at all. They received my name from another family that I worked with in the past, and I'm so grateful my name was passed along. When I was on my way to meet with the Martensens I couldn't help but reflect on how God is so graciously providing for me through this little business. My work is not perfect, and I have a lot to learn, but I am so thankful for His provision and families who trust me to capture sweet moments of their loved ones.
Ruth and H.C. have two extremely cute little boys, Calvin and Clark. Clark turned one on April first, and Calvin turned four just a week later, so Ruth wanted photos of their family together and the chance to freeze in time her two boys at this age. We shot at the Glencoe Mill Village in Burlington, NC, which turned out to be an awesome location (Thank you for the recommendation, Blink of an Eye Photography!). There were plenty of fun backdrops to shoot against, and the boys (especially Calvin) loved all the places to explore. I could not get over how handsome the little men were in their dapper bow ties, and both of their smiles surely stole my heart. Thank you for letting me photograph your family, Ruth. I truly enjoyed our time together!
